Panoramic vistas of the eastern Mojave
meet ethnic elegance at Le Haut Dèsert Aerie.
(pronounced Lay Oh! Desert Air-ee)

Aerie:
1. the nest of a bird of prey, as an eagle or a hawk.
2. a house, fortress, or the like, located high on a hill or mountain.
Offering an exquisite high desert setting for intimate gatherings, celebrations and special events.
The Aerie is the architectural embodiment of fine artist & custom furniture designer Eric Mueller's vision for a truly unique desert sanctuary. Every nook and cranny features a visual adventure in Moroccan, Indian & Tibetan aesthetics and the house & property abounds with Eric's oil paintings, stone work and architectural details.
Located on 40 acres, surrounded by 100's of acres of pristine wildlands, the Aerie offers long views from Mt. Gorgonio to the Eastern Mojave and a supremely sublime refuge from the stresses of urban life. Located in Pioneertown, just 30 minutes from Palm Springs International Airport, two hours from 80% of the Southern California metro area, we are easy to get to yet so far away from it all.

What Our Guests Have Said About Their Stay at the Aerie:
My friend and I stayed with Liz and Eric at the Moroccan house and could not have had a better time! An incredibly charming place that seems as if transported directly from the Atlas Mountains, every amenity seen to, every need tended to, and a gloriously warm spa (hot-tub) situated outside, with a view to take one's breath away. Weather was quite cold as we were there, locals hadn't seen a winter this cold in many many years, but we were cozy and warm by the wood-fire (when we weren't hiking nearby Joshua Tree National Park) chatting with our fascinating hosts. Thankyou, Liz and Eric, for an unforgettable experience. We'll be back!!! -- Billy and Anne
Eric and Liz might be the nicest people you'll ever stay with. Stunning home and amazing location. We had a blast!
